I have ontained a copy of the protocol for the gastrin secretin procedure. This is defined as fasting, do a blood draw for two fasting serum levels as a baseline, and then IV injection of secretin with post-injection tests at 1, 2, 5, 10 and 30 minutes for determination of the level of serum gastrin concentration.

Should we bill for this testing with 2 codes: 82941, for the pre-secretin baseline gastrin test and then 82938 for the post-injection tests?

Thanks for your help. I'd appreciate any reference documents so that I may keep the information on file.
