This is a Modifier issues. -59 vs. -51: We billed 28270 on 7-10-2013 was reported with 20680 adn it was performed at the same anatomic region, it will not be reimbursed.
It was reported with a -59

We are now thinking it is to be billed with a -51.

you performed a capsulotomy and an implant removal on the same area? was this for two separate reason? I would need an op report to say if you could bill both procedures or only one.

Tracy,

I know Debra responded, but you may want to consider posting this under a different forum to get more responses.

The Nashville Conference forum is typically focused on questions/comments regarding the upcoming national AAPC conference.
