Here is my question

our Doctor refered a patient to another physician who did a total hysterectomy

the patient is now back under our care for postop would this be billed out as 99024 or should the first initial post op visit be billed as 59150-55 and any other post op vist be billed as 99024

thanks

Post op care only

The surgeon who performed the hysterectomy should code with a -54 modifier.
You should code the same CPT (for the procedure performed) with a -55 modifier (for the first post-op visit, and 99024 is okay for any other post-op visits within the global period).

Hope that helps.
