I was a bit concerned about the sept 2012 Coding Edge article concerning repayment obligations. The law recently indicated that overpayments must be refunded within 60 days the article seems to contradict this law. There are companies that do not want to refund overpayments and this is scary and the article really concerned me.. Are there other billers and coders out there on the same page as I am? I believe any overpayment is to be refunded it is the ethical and right thing to do
