Looking for assistance in locating a procedure that will cover the sexual assault exam. We do both vaginal and anal exams with swabs. Also there are detailed forms to be filled out. Is there an additional procedure code we should be using or just the E/M code. (we are a CAH hospital).
 
Sexual Assault Exams

We are CAH Method I and we always bill the ER E & M code under the appropriate revenue code and and lab work, drugs, etc.... on the same UB. Note if there was repair of a laceration that will be billed as well.
 
Thank you. I am new to CAH and they have been overlooking a lot of things they should have been charging and weren't so now we are looking at absolutely everything.
