My provider did a shoulder rtc by scope. His note also states that a subacromial decompression /bursectomy was performed. There is no mention of acromioplasty. He is stating the codes should be 29827/29825. I am thinking 29827/29822. Opinions??

29827/29822 is an invalid combination

Number one, 29827 & 29822 cannot be billed together.

Your doctor is wrong. Soft subacromial decompression is not lysis of adhesions. It is a debridement procedure. Without an acromioplasty you have to add this to debridement and hopefully get enough to bill 29823 since 29822 can't be billed with other arthrscopic procedures.
