I'm trying to determine what code to use for a flex sig with closure of rectovesicular fistula with loops and clips. The endoscopic evaluation was requested for attempted closure prior to surgery.

Findings: The gastroscope was placed in the rectum. An approximately 1.5 cm defect was seen in the rectum. It was wide open and we could actually see into the peritoneum. Multiple clips were then placed around the circumference of the dfect and utilizing loops, the defct was closed with a "tulip" maneuver. At the end of the procedure, no air was seen exiting through the the Foley catheter, through the fistula which was seen previously.

45800 is closure of rectovesical fistula and is considered a major surgery, however, the doctor that performed the flex sig is only a diagnostic dr. Would I just code a regular flex sig code of 45330?? Any advice would be much appreciated.
