BCBS Florida is requesting our Hospital sign what they call a “Hospital Charge Profile” Basically it states, outside of the contract, what they will pay for and how we are supposed to bill them. Well the only challenge with that is; we charge according to Medicare Guidelines. And we expect them to follow MCR guidelines on all claim payment issues that is silent in the contract. We are not signing this and we believe it would fit our needs to send a Disclosure Letter instructing them of our protocols. My question to the group; Has anyone written one of these letters and if so, may I please have a copy to use as an example.
