Hello All! I work in an Orthopedic practice and we just took on a new surgeon who does a procedure called a sink hip disloacation. The description is below, I was wondering if anyone has any information on this- how it is to be billed.. would it fall under an unlisted code? If it is unlisted, does anyone know any comp codes I could use to back up? THANK YOU!!

The procedure is actually a "surgical hip dislocation," which means I take a hip that has not been dislocated traumatically and then perform a procedure that takes a native hip out of socket to perform labral work, cartilage work, or osteotomy (among other potential procedures). So the diagnosis or treatment is the not correction of a native hip dislocation.
