should mucosal tickening be coded as sinusitis?
(is thickening = hypertrophy)?
 
The most recognizable finding for either acute or chronic sinusitis is the thickening of the sinus mucosa. Unless you know the specific area eg: ethmoid or sphenoid -try 473.9 or 478.19.
