My provider performed a biopsy of the skin 11100 due to DX173.62 pt was on a post op period. My questions is can I bill the 11100 with mod 59 since is a distinct procedure? the Biopsy was not related to the prior surgery.

Mod 59 is not needed here. check the description of the mod.

Documentation should indicate two separate procedures performed on the same day by the same physician. But in ur care surgery was performed on other day.
