Wiki Small Bowel intussuception

Exploratory laposcopy, reduction of small bowl intussesception. Status 2 year post gastric bypass surgery. vomiting phlem and mucus ct scan showed evidence of an inussusception loop of small bowel which appeared to be in the Roux limb. Once the adhesion were cleared an trocar was placed in the right upper quadrant. He repaired the Roux limb sutured to a piece of small bowel adjacent to it in order to prevent toe telescoping from happening again. there was also a small potential defect where the jujunojejunostomy was preform and also repaired. Cpt suggestions another coder used 44050 and the Dr disagrees and came back w/ a code that doesn't exist. any input would be great

Dr is correct - 43659. If open, I'd look at 43848. Dr is doing revision to the Roux limb from a previous gas-restrict procedure so that is doesn't cause small bowel intussusception again. However, I can see why you would look at 44050 because of description, but that's also an OPEN code.
