I got this in my email today, and thought that I HAD to share it! Enjoy!

Poem in Appreciation to “My Girls” in the Insurance Department
Billing and Coding, that's our game
Insurance and Billing, that's our Name!
We charge the claims and send them on their way
So the insurance companies will have to pay.
When the carriers deny and they try to buck us
We call them right up and cause quite a ruckus.
Pay our claims Now! We know we are right!
Do it fast! Cause we are ready to fight!
The diagnosis is right and the CPT code too,
Appropriate modifiers were used, So what's wrong with you?
Timely filing is not an issue and the pre-cert was done.
Now get our claim paid before the setting of sun.
And, Yes, Mr. Patient this is your bill,
Your insurance has paid all that they will,
So we are sending you this statement so kindly send in…
Cash, check or credit card , so we can stay friends.
Constant changes of rules and payment delays.
Seems we work harder and harder for less and less pay.
Cutbacks and audits, documentation, appeals!
We handle them all with determination and zeal.
We fight Medicare and Medicaid on your behalf,
To keep from crying from rejects, we try more to laugh.
We may look weary, frazzled, and worn out to boot,
But without us on the job, there would be no more loot!
So Dear Doctor, be thankful for those working with no slack,
Getting your claims handled and watching your back.
