SNF and admission date

I'm having trouble finding this information anywhere. Do claims for professional services furnished to SNF patients (99304-99306 or 99307-99310) require the date of admission?

Hi,
A client wants to know if it's required. Most of the information I've been able to find talks about what the exam requirements are, or about the correct POS to use, but so far nothing on including the date of admission on the CMS 1500. I think it's implied since SNF admits and subsequent visits need to be performed on a time schedule, but it would be really useful to find that in writing somewhere.

I'm sending the client a couple of CMS documents, including the relevant part of the Medicare Claims Processing Manual.

Since they are inpatient, and inpatient claims require a date of admission, I would say yes, it's required. Some payors may ignore it.
