I have a nephrologist who saw a patient in the SNF(located in the hospital) for a consult? Is this billed as a regular consult? Thanks.

snf consult cpt

What I found in the CPT is inpatient consultations.

"The following codes are used to report physician consultations provided to hospital inpatients, residents of nusing facilities, or patients in a partial hospital setitng."
