Our practice bills for licensed social workers who practice under the supervision of a masters level licensed social worker. Are the billing requirements for “supervision” the same as when billing for incident-to or when utilizing residents? Should the masters level social worker be located in the same building when services are rendered?

I would check the board of social work for your state. Are they like supervised SW working towards an independent license? There like 3 different levels in my state (MN) but the scope of practice might different also.
