BC Complete has sent out a memo dated 09/12/24 stating, The rendering and referring provider cannot have the same NPI. My physician is a Dermapathologist/MOHS surgeon. His patients are referred to him and then he sets a plan of care with either MOH's or SRT (radiation treatment) and he is the attending and the referring. Who could I possibly list in the referring physician box? The PCP who referred patient to Dr. Buatti is no longer the referring?
Anyone have any input? BCC is taking back all their monies?

Do these BC patients have a family doctor who sent them to dermatologist doctor? Use patient family doctor or EMR doc or OB/GYN doctor or urgent care or clinic doctor .....who sent them to dermatologist to cure their skin problem. I hope helped you in this matter
