Specimen collection & examination method question

Hello all! Newbie here so please accept my apologies if this question has already been asked. I did search to see if I could find one but did not. Anyway, we had a patient in our dermatology practice bring in a specimen that had "been picked off her body" and she placed it on a piece of tape. It was given to our dermatopathologist to examine microscopically. He concluded the specimen to be fragments of keratin, hair shaft and debris. How do I code this? Would it be appropriate to code as an 88305? Thank you for any help!!

If you have documentation of a gross and microscopic exam, then it should be chargeable as 88305. Could you provide the details of the report here? That might be helpful to confirm.
