ICD 10 question for spine arthritis, what is the code?
In the book when looking up Arthritis/back it points you to see Spondylopathy, inflammatory and the default code is M46.90. Would this be correct that it is inflammatory?

Spinal arthritis

Spondylosis is definitely where you want to look. Inflammatory spondylitis is an acute, inflammatory condition of the facet joints. Spondylosis can also be documented as facet degeneration, facet degenerative joint disease (DJD), osteoarthritis of the vertebrae/facet joints, and arthrosis/arthritis of the facet joint and/or spine. There are different codes based on location in the spine. Codes start around M47.-

Hope this helps!
