I was looking for some assistance on a diagnosis code. The patient has a spinal cord stimulator, it is working well and is relieving her pain. She is having a separate problem of numbness on one side of her body and the neurologists say the only way to work this up is with a MRI of the brain. She needs to have her stimulator removed at this point so that she can have the MRI done to address the other problem. Any ideas how this should be coded? Thanks!
