My doc did laminectomy at L3-4 with foraminotomy and facetectomy

But only did foraminotomy & faetectomy at L4-5 - he said he was able to reach

I have no idea how to code this?

Please help?!

Did the patient have stenosis? If so you can use 63047, 63048. If there was no stenosis, I'd use 63030, 63035.

Yes it is for stenosis

What exactly is the difference between these 2 codes sets?

I suppose my real problem is my docs dictation is poor on this one, the only bone he says he is removing is L3-4 rt side.

Differences....63047/63048 is for stenosis and a vertebral segment.
..................63030/63035 is for herniated intervertebral disc interspace. Hope this helps some.
