hello All,

can we bill sports physical visit with 99212 and DX code Z02.5? will commercial and Medicaid will pay for that visit? we never bill sports physical visits to any insurance but do collect certain amount from patient. i just want to make sure if any of you are billing it or do the same as we do.

I have experience with billing 99212 for commercial insurances and some of our payers actually prefer it. We send it with a reduced charge amount for what we bill standard Sports Px for(ex. $35). Hope this is helpful.
