Do staged coronary interventions need to be 30 days apart? One of our doctors has asked. We have not been denied payment for a physician performing on intervention on 2 separate vessels on different days.

We have done staged interventions only a few days apart and not had any problems. There is no global on the majority of cardiology intervention
 
The only thing you can't do is to bill a second diagnostic exam, unless there is a change in the patient. That would be the patient had chest pain or MI between visits.
