Here is a statement/question from my provider....
"Partial vasectomy performed today.
Was able to normally ligate left vas, had difficult anatomy that did not allow safe ligation of right vas today.
Will require a staged vasectomy for remaining right side in 1-2 weeks.

How should today's partial vasectomy be coded, and how should the next completion vasectomy be coded?"

As per Dr. Ray Painter's discussion in PRS, 2019, I would suggest the following coding for your double clinical scenarios:

First vasectomy 55250-52 -LT
Second vasectomy- 55250-58,-76-52-RT
