I think I may have found a superbill where the physician may have undercoded the ticket. I thought I would throw this out there to see what my fellow coding experts can help me with:

EP doc turned in a ticket for a followup visit 1 week after pacer implantation. He performed staple removal and pacer evaluation at the same time. It is my understanding that he may bill for 2 evaluations after implantation.

He coded his ticket as: 99024; only. Didn't he leave off his In-person interrogation code 93288; which he is allowed to bill for?

Just want to be sure...I'm not a morning person!

The doctor can only bill for the interrogation. The staple removal is considered post-op care or f/u and cannot bill separately for it.
