Hello,

25 years old at 25.5 wks comes in for NST post amniocentesis.

no CTX, LOF, no VB, + FM

NST: 140, moderate variability, reactive with accels, no decels
Toco: no CTX

Assessment/plan:
s/p amnio, reactive NST
Discharge home.


May I have some help what is the proper dx code to this visit?

I think I would go with Z03.79 in this case. The NST was normal and was done because of the procedure. I would not use the diagnosis used for the amnio since that is related to genetic testing and would not support medical need for an NST.
