Hello,

Just a question of when it is appropriate to use a Z screening code during an office visit.

In particular, if patient is presenting for annual visit (physical), and has no signs/symptoms relating to a lipid problem but blood is drawn during the visit and sent to a lab to read, is it appropriate to assign a Z13.220 and attach to the blood draw? Or would it be more appropriate to link to Z00.00 for well visit?

Thanks,
