Wiki Steadman Picking Procedure

Hi Everyone!

So our surgeon is stating the 29886 isn't "exactly" the same as what he did for our patient's knee. He said he did what is known as a "Steadman Picking" procedure and asked me to see if there was a different code for this.

I haven't found a code for anything by that name. Anyone familiar with this and how to code it? When he described it, it sounded an awful lot like the drilling procedure, except he's using a "pick" ?

Look at 29879. We use that for our surgeon when he does microfracturing using the picks.
