HELP!!! I am aware that catherization is included in CPT 37226 (stent placement). However, can I bill open exposure of femoral artery, 34812-59 with 37226? Even if he cuts down to exposeartery and then does the catherization percutaneously? (Unbundling is allowed with mod-59 per CCI)

37226 is for open or percutaneous access. 34812 is open exposure for placement of an endovascular graft (not a stent) . It would not be appropriate IMO to bill for open exposure (34812) for placement of a femoral stent (37226).

HTH :)
