When a patient has "stents" put in is there a dx codes for that or history of that? I know there is a code for "bypass grafting". However I have never been able to find a code for stenting. Sometimes I have seen where a patient has had stents put in their legs or other areas I know I can use 414.00/CAD dx but how do you show stents? Thanks

You would use V45.82 "percutaneous transluminol coronary angioplasty status" for heart stents...

TLC, you should not use 414.00 for stents in the leg. That is a heart code. You would code for stenosis or thrombus in the extremity for stents in the leg.
