I work for a medical practice within a Retirement Community and we would like to start billing for STI screening and counseling. I see that G0445 can be used for counseling with diagnosis code Z72.89 but what is the appropriate procedure code for the STI testing. We will be gathering the specimens in office to be sent to an outside lab.
