Has anyone coded a subrectal ICD placement for a cardivascular surgeon? I have an EP physician doing a generator change and new lead, then tunneling the leads to the abdomen. The surgeon opened the abdomen subrectal and placed the generator, then closed the pocket. My inclination is that EP doctor gets the regular ICD codes for gen change and lead replacement. We are not sure how to code the surgeon services. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks,
