Is it possible for 2 different physicians to bill followup subsequent inpatient care on the same day if say circumstances required 2 separate evaluations?
 
If they are in the same group/same specialty, no. You combine their documentation and bill the level supported by both notes under 1 provider.

You could have subsequent care by one provider and critical care by another in the same group/same specialty on the same day.

If they are from different specialties or different groups you would have 2 separate subsequent care charges.
