Wiki Subspine decompression - Scope hip

We have been useing unlisted 29999 for the above and comparing to 29915. It is being preformed with other hip scopes 29916 and 29914. Is anyone having any luck getting that paid? We have discussed not using unlisted but adding modifier 22 to 29916. Does anyone have any insight into these hip scopes?

I had a doctor that performed these hip procedures frequently, but I never had a subspine decompression. Just in doing some research and looking at MRI's and that it would be medical necessary to treat as it would limit the patient's movement and cause pain I'm sure. At first look I don't see anything wrong with coding it the way you are. If insurance companies are not paying this I would ask for a peer review.
