I am trying to find a code for this procedure Sulcus suture IOL in pars plana being billed with 67121 I have a retina doctor in my practice that is wanting help with this and I can not find anything any help would be much appreciated

Looks to be included in the code here is the lay description 67121:

An incision is made in the pars plana near the site of an intraocular lens that has fallen into the posterior segment of the eye. The physician removes the extracapsular IOL from the eye. The physician closes the incision with sutures and may restore the intraocular pressure with an injection of vitreous substitute. A topical antibiotic or pressure patch may be applied.

I don't think sutures are an additional service but included as part of the service bundle.

I was wondering if you ever figured out how to bill this correctly. We bill a Yamane technique used for the insertion of the IOL into the sulcus. I believe the surgery is taking place in the posterior chamber of the anterior segment of the eye.
