It is my day for questions! Need some advice and assistance please, I have a surgeon that is requesting two lines at the hospital. Anesthesia takes one patient back, puts them to sleep, the surgeon does the surgery. When the surgery is complete he will scrub out while his patient is being stitched up by the assistant. In the meantime, he has asked the other anesthesiologist to go forward and put the patient to sleep in the next room so that he can leave one room, scrub in on the next surgery and cut immediately. Not sure if I can bill the time on these cases and what guidelines I need to follow?

Thanks again everyone for your advice and assistance, Melissa
