I am hoping someone can help me. We have a new Ophthalmologist in our practice and he asked me a coding question that I am not sure of the answer.

What should he bill for a Post Op on a surgery done elsewhere? Normally, I know 99024 but in this case he would be doing the initial visits in our clinics (FQHC), surgery through a different and unrelated facility (standard hospital), and post op visits in our clinics (FQHC). Same provider through 2 different practices, on our patients. As an unrelated medical facility, I wouldn't think we would be considered part of the surgical package but it is the same doctor.

Any suggestions?

I agree with @jkyles . The ophthalmologist was already paid for the postop work when billing the surgery.
I am not familiar with FQHC billing, but I believe the FACILITY might be able to still submit a bill.
