Doctor did a arthroscopic repair of rotator cuff in an ASC and listed multiple intubation attempts with final intubation by fiberoptic intubation as a complication of the surgery. Procedure was completed, transferred to recovery in stable condition and then patient was transferred to a hospital for overnight observation due to the multiple intubation attempts. The only complication code I'm coming up with is 998.89. Input would be appreciated. Thanks.
