due to Proximal Ascending Colon CA and Proximal Rectal CA, the surgeon did Two Separate colon resection on the right a classic LAR (laparoscopic Los Anterior Resection) AND a Lap right hemicolectomy with ileocolostomy....The Dr wants to code 44207 with 44204-59 as a separate procedure modifier, but my checks for CCI edits lead me to believe no modifier can override this Correct Coding edit.

IS the 59 modifier ok in this case as he did a separate and different resection...or is there a better coding fit?
