Hello,
My physician performed a resection of a total knee arthroplasty with a Prostalac implantation and an excision of synovial fistula. I am having a difficult time finding a CPT code that would encompass the synovial fistula excision- Would this technically be a synovectomy? And if so, would it be included in the TKA resection since debridement and synovectomy are included in this code? We had a discussion about it and he thinks there might be a code in the general surgery category that would work but I have been researching for a while with no success...
Any thoughts would be very helpful!
