If a patient is invloved in a MVA, is brought to the ER and is diagnosed with a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a cerebral contusion and a occipital bone fracture, would it be correct to code this as 801.20 and 801.10? Should it just be one or the other? I do not see a code that includes both a hemorrage and contusion. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks!!

What about 852.00 or 851.80 for the hemorrahage or contusion? I would also add the fracture code. Then the hcpcs for the accident if you have that info on hand.
