I am just looking for some clarification on 2 issues on the same question.....getting some conflicting answers.....
issue 1 > In an outpatient wound clinic setting.......patient comes in on one day see's the physician who applies TCC for the 1st time on the patient, which requires the patient to follow up in 3 days time for a cast change but doesn't need to see the physician and the nurse removes the original TCC and reapplies a new one....on the follow up visit can we bill the cast application or should a nurse visit be billed.....
issue 2 > out patient wound clinic. patient sees a podiatrist for wound care and applies a TCC for the 1st time on the patient, which requires the patient to come in 3 days time and is seen by another podiatrist who looks at the wound and reapplies the TCC......can modifier 77 be added to the application or the TCC.
