Is an MA allowed to make the initial TCM phone call to the patient? I was under the impression it must be a licensed Nurse, Midlevel or provider?

No, No & No! :-( :)

First - for Medicarr Beneficiaries - The CMS Regulations eith respect to TCM are extraordinarily extensive & complex it is almost beyond description; pre-requisites, provider restrictions, service restrictions, major bundling issues, documentation requirements, diagnosis criteria & much, much more!

But even with Commercial Payers &
State Medicaid Programs they are only slightly more relaxed and forgiving!
