I have always been told that the Attending physician must be present in order to bill for a delivery. I have a physician who is requesting documentation about this because he does not believe me. I have found documentation proof in the Medicare Claims Processing Manual be he wants more then that, because he says we rarely bill a delivery for a Medicare patient. Does anybody know where I can find more information about this???
He specifically wants information from Missouri Medicaid but I would like to find several sources that state this.
