We are a pediatric group that usually bills 99051 for our afterhours and weekend appointments (along with the E/M code).

Should this code still be used along with telehealth codes? (I'm thinking NO since 99051 description says "in office").
Should a different afterhours code be used instead? I don't know of any other code that would be appropriate...
Or do you think we can even bill for afterhours for telehealth?

This would be for commercial plans only (non-medicare).

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Since commercial carriers are each making their own policy during this, you may have to confirm with each carrier. I will state that I DOUBT 99051 is billable for telehealth, since it was not listed on the CMS guidance as a telehealth code. Most carriers are following CMS lead, with a few tweaks here and there.
