Question from one of our providers: Okay to bill tele-health for pediatrics when parent/caregiver is the one giving information for pediatric patient?

I would think as long as the patient can be visualed it is fine for telehealth. For phone calls as long as the provider is comfortable with the information being relayed and the person on the phone is primary caregiver. It should be fine. In a face to face the parent does all the talking now so it really is not that much different.

We are doing on well checkups in the office when the child needs immunization and going the sick visits as Virtual Visits. My provider has also heard that we can now do well check ups as a Virtual Visit. Has anyone else heard this or done a Well Check up as virtual visit/TeleHealth?

Well visits can be done TH, however, check with the plan benefits. The patient would still need to come to the office for the exam, immunizations, and screenings. The exam would not be billable, and appropriate modifiers are necessary.
