We are setting up our system to use established E/M codes 99211-99215 for telehealth billing. That was the decision made by administration. My task is to investigate how to document these properly. Exams will not be available so the note will still need to contain elements of ROS, MDM to substantiate the codes that we are using along with the amount of time spent. Telehealth/e-visits are strictly time based from everything I'm seeing and would seem to be the easiest way to go.

Am I correct in my documentation thinking?
