Wiki Telehealth Group Therapy with E/M

Is anyone familiar with billing an E/M in addition to group therapy on the same DOS via telehealth? There is one medical record to support both services with group therapy rendered by a LADAC with medication management rendered by an MD. Is this an allowable shared/split service?

Hi there, assuming the patient is in a facility setting, that isn't a shared or split service. Both providers must be able to report the E/M visit.

We would bill this separately E&M on one claim under rendering medical provider and Group Tx on separate claim following payer rules (sometimes under rendering such as LADAC; others require supervising with provider level modifier (AJ, HE, etc)). We are a psychiatric center billing as outpatient hospital (19/22 POS). They would have distinct notes/documentation each done by the appropriate rendering provider.
