Hello,

I work for a clinic in Southern California. I'm wondering if anyone can help me answer a question that I'm struggling to answer.

Does a minor have to be in the same location as the parent to be seen via telehealth?

Bonus question:
Have telehealth billing protocols changed since 04/2020?

Hi there, in general the patient must be present during the visit. So a conversation with the parent without the patient would not count.
For your bonus question: Check with the individual payer for their current telehealth policies.
