I have been billing for telemedicine for quite a while but all of a sudden I get a denial from a medicaid MCO saying the 95 modifier is invalid. I have spent HOURS on various websites (commercial, state and federal) to figure out what the problem is and have only become more confused. Either the information is old (pre covid), or completely useless. I bill and EM, s2260, s0190, and s0191 (medical abortion via telehealth) and I attach the 95 modifier to each. any feedback?
